A pickup arrangement, not a promise of driveway access
Door-to-door service means coordinating collection and delivery near the requested addresses when the carrier can safely and legally reach them. It does not guarantee that a large transport truck can stop at every home, building or garage entrance.
Trailer type is a separate choice. You can discuss open or enclosed transport while also planning accessible pickup and delivery points.
Flag access restrictions early
Tell the provider about narrow roads, low branches, gates, steep approaches, parking restrictions or limited turning space. Apartment complexes, storage facilities and dealerships may also have receiving hours or staff procedures.
If an address is unsuitable, agree a nearby legal location with enough room for loading. Do not select a meeting place solely because it looks large on a map; the assigned carrier needs to assess access and local restrictions.
Coordinate people as well as places
Make sure an authorized person can meet the driver at each end, provide keys and complete condition paperwork. Tell the provider if a seller, auction yard or dealership must release the vehicle, and confirm what documentation they require.
A pickup window is different from transit time. Ask how arrival updates will be communicated and what to do if you cannot meet a revised time. A request submitted to MileRelay is not a confirmed appointment.
Before you agree
Confirm the actual meeting locations, any access-related charges, contact arrangements and written terms. For a vehicle that cannot move under its own power, explain the loading conditions before a carrier is assigned.
Read the pickup preparation guide. Bold's door-to-door page describes its marketed service; availability and access remain shipment-specific.
Preparation preview: forms create test records. Do not enter real personal information. No carrier is booked and no request is sent to Bold Auto Transport.
