Added enclosure, specific questions
An enclosed trailer surrounds the vehicle during transport and reduces its exposure to outdoor conditions. It is a method to discuss when finish, collectibility or particular handling requirements matter to you. The word “enclosed” alone does not identify the loading equipment or guarantee a damage-free trip.
Describe the vehicle accurately
Tell the provider about ground clearance, overall dimensions, modifications and whether the car can start, roll, steer and brake. A low front splitter or unusual wheelbase may affect loading. Ask what equipment is suitable instead of assuming every enclosed trailer has the same ramps or lift.
For a vehicle that does not run, review non-running shipping as a separate loading requirement. Choosing an enclosed trailer does not automatically solve an inoperable vehicle's needs.
Compare more than the price
Request a written description of the proposed transport method, pickup window, estimated transit and total charges. Availability can differ by route and date. Avoid organizing an inflexible flight, event or sale deadline around an unconfirmed estimate.
Before booking, ask which motor carrier will handle the vehicle and review the relevant coverage limits, deductible, exclusions and claim process. A vehicle's purchase price is not proof that the same amount is covered.
Make condition records useful
Take clear photographs, document accessories and point out existing marks during inspection. Follow the assigned carrier's instructions for keys, alarms, fuel or battery level. Keep copies of the accepted terms and condition paperwork for delivery.
Use the open versus enclosed guide to compare priorities. Bold's enclosed service description confirms that it markets this option; actual equipment and availability require confirmation.
Preparation preview: forms create test records. Do not enter real personal information. No carrier is booked and no request is sent to Bold Auto Transport.
